My name is Jennifer.  I could be your sister, daughter, friend, lover, niece, arch nemesis, or any other variant of feminine title that could be bestowed on an individual.  Whoever I am to you, it doesn’t matter.  What does matter is that I am a girl.  I think like a girl, act like a girl, dress like a girl, have my period, like cute things, hate killing bugs, refuse to cut the lawn, and I LOVE the zombie genre.

I can’t help it, I love zombies!  They are terrifying in their masses.  Their infectability rates and spread time are dizzying.  But the most horrific thing about zombies is that they are not anonymous monsters.  They are our friends and family.  The greatest thing about zombies?  You can kill them.  A zombie apocalypse is perfectly survivable.  You just need to be prepared.  And if you’re prepared for a zombie apocalypse then you’re prepared for any disaster scenario.

But, this blog isn’t just about zombies, surviving, and prepping.  That can get dull and this blog is about having fun with it all.

So, while while we will spend time talking about zombies and what it would meant to be a girl in the midst of the apocalypse, we’re also going to have fun with other strangeness and things that are just downright badass.

  1. Hi Jennifer, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this. Women in situations like this would know the whats, but not the hows and as you said, we wouldn’t make it! I love the idea of your site and am excited to see it develop!

Hi Jennifer, I found you through some of my other zombiphile sites and love the page and the concept. Most of all, because women will be the key to the survival of the human race after a zombie apocalypse. If it’s just a bunch of us hairy legged neanderthals that survive, well then we didn’t really survive, did we? It is imperative that women such as you ladies at Girls Guide be prepared and able to survive! Survival techniques, guns, “monsters”, etc.. are usually “guy things”, so glad to have you ladies aboard and I share your site with all my female friends. Most of them just give me “That Look”, you know the one I’m talking about, but at least I get the word out! Keep up the good work.

    Hi Jennifer,

Love your take on the female zombie survival guide! I also do truly believe that people in general don’t know enough about a zombie apocalypse and therefore wouldn’t be able to survive it. Would love to add a link to your website on my zombie polls website. I too have a mission to educate people about how to survive a zombie apocalypse. The difference on my site is that I use the power of polls to find the best option to different zombie scenarios.

It would be much appreciated if you could link my website to your blog as well, but only if you find that my information can help your girls. I will also link your Facebook to my website as that has some very valuable information. Btw, this is the admin of http://www.facebook.com/KnowZombies.
    Here is my website: http://www.KnowZombies.com

Keep it up with the blog and fan page!

    • Hi Ken,

I was thinking about putting together a link page on here and will definitely include yours in it. I’m glad you like a Girls Guide. We’re having a lot of fun evolving it and getting to know the other zombie enthusiast groups out there. We look forward to getting to know everyone better.

Hi Jennifer, I just followed your blog, I’d love it if you followed (and of course shared) my blog that I just started. I self-published my new zombie novel, GNASH available on Amazon.com, last month and I just started a blog to accompany it. As I write it, I’m planning to blog pieces and parts of my new novel and post to my site. Unfortunately, it’s brand-new so I don’t have any followers. My blog is http://www.BrianParker.blog.com Thank you for your help, independent publishing is crazy hard!
